Before you go to the official Texas portal, pick how you want to look yourself up and gather what you'll need. The portal is in English. Here's what each field means.
How do you want to look yourself up?
Have these ready:
- First name: exactly as it appears on your registration
- Last name: exactly as it appears on your registration
- County where you live (for example, Harris or Fort Bend)
- Date of birth: entered as month/day/year (MM/DD/YYYY)
- ZIP code of your home address
The official portal is run by the Texas Secretary of State and is the only source of truth for your registration status. It is available in English and Spanish.

Eligible Texas voters can apply to vote by mail. Check the rules and use the official state application below.
You may qualify if you are:
- 65 years of age or older on Election Day
- Sick or disabled
- Expected to be outside your county for all of early voting and on Election Day
- Confined in jail, but otherwise eligible to vote
- Expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
Check the deadline for this election
Your completed application must be received, not just postmarked, by your county's Early Voting Clerk by the deadline shown on the official VoteTexas page.
Send the signed application to the Early Voting Clerk in the county where you are registered. Do not send it to the Secretary of State. If you fax or email it, state rules also require the original hard copy to arrive within four business days.

After you return your ballot, use the official Texas tracker to look for updates recorded by election officials and see whether it lists any action to take. We cannot confirm your ballot status here.
